The blue ribbon campaign is similiar to the red AIDS ribbons, the green Amnesty International ribbons, and the yellow ribbons which show support for our armed forces. Supporters of the Free Speech Online movement place one of the below images on their web pages to show their support.

Other Ribbons have colorful backgrounds

Some are colorful and eye-catching

These are animated to make them more interesting

This is one of my favorites, because the saying "Don't Tread On Me" originated during the Revolutionary War. The colonists were fighting for their freedom. Similiarly, the Net users involved in this campaign are fighting to keep our First Amendment right, the freedom of speech. These are the people who proved that they would not sit there and watch the newest and most powerful form of communication be destroyed.

This clock is not part of the Blue ribbon campaign, but it is a close relative. It is an indicator of the threat to "cyber-rights" everywhere.
